Our Coaches

Coach Bill Hart/PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Coach Bill Hart is the Founder and Director of Pure Hart Basketball.  Bill has also held the position as Assistant Coach at North Andover High School  for the last 11 seasons.  He played high school basketball at Brooks School in North Andover, Massachusetts.  While at Brooks Bill led his team to back to back New England Class C Finals.  He was named to the All ISL and the All New England Teams from 1995-1997.   He remains Brooks School's All-Time leading scorer with 1,694 career points.  

Bill attended Bates College in Lewiston Maine where he was a 4-year starter, captain and 1,000 point scorer.   He was named Maine Rookie of the Year (1999), was a 3-time NESCAC ALL Academic Team member and was a Kodak All Academic Team member during his time at Bates.

COACH JESS DEVENY-MCNAMAR/GIRLS DIRECTOR

Coach Jess Deveny-McNamar played high school basketball at Westford Academy where she scored over 2,000 career points and was twice named Massachusetts Player of the Year.  Jess attended Boston College where she graduated top 10 all-time in both points (1,496) and rebounds (551).  She led Boston College to the 2004 Big East Tournament Championship and was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.  In 2013, Jess was inducted into the Boston College Hall of Fame.  Jess is currently the Head Varsity Coach at North Andover High School.

COACH PAUL TANGLIS

Coach Paul Tanglis has been coaching Basketball since 2005.  He started his coaching career at Plymouth State College then moved onto Medford High School and Stoneham High School.  In 2013 Paul became the North Andover High School Boys coach where he had been the team captain in 2000.  In 2014 Paul was named Coach of the Year by the Eagle Tribune.  In 2017 and 2018 Paul was named the MVC Coach of the year.  Paul was named Massachusetts Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the year in 2017 and 2023. Paul lead his team to become the MVC Champs in back to back years in 2017 and 2018.  In 2018 the North Andover Boys became the MIAA D2 Champs and in 2023 they made it to the MIAA D1 Final Four.  Paul's love for the game and extensive knowledge and experience in coaching make him a valuable asset to Pure Hart Basketball.

COACH MANDY DEVENY-MCNAMAR

Coach Mandy Deveny-McNamar is a two-sport All-stater who graduated from her high school as the women's basketball program's all-time leading scorer.  As a senior, she was named Class "LL" All-State second team in basketball by the Hartford Courant and earned Class "L" All-State track and field recognition.  In 2018 Mandy was inducted into the Rockville High School Athletic Hall of Fame.   After high school Mandy attended Merrimack College where she played Basketball all 4 years and was the captain in her junior and senior years.  She currently coaches Pure Hart teams as well as North Andover Travel 4th and 6th grade girls teams.

Coach Julie Ruane

Coach Julie Ruane has 15+ years of basketball officiating experience having worked at various levels including 9 years of Division 3 Women’s College Basketball, 2 NCAA tournaments and multiple high school state tournament and tournament championship games.  Julie is a member of the Board of Directors for the Georgetown Athletic Association and is also the Director of Youth Basketball in Georgetown.  
Prior to coaching and officiating, Julie played 4 years at Merrimack College where her team made 2 NCAA tournament appearances in 2003 and 2004.  Julie was a part of one of the most successful Merrimack College Women’s Basketball teams having made a Final Four appearance her senior year and winning the Northeast-10 Conference Championship.  Julie attended Wakefield High School and was a four year Varsity player. In 1997, Julie’s team won the Division 2 Massachusetts State Championship. Julie was a 2-time Middlesex League All Star and All League Player as well as 3-point shooting champion. Julie’s AAU team won 2 Massachusetts State Championships during her high school years.

COACH MOLLY CREAMER

Coach Molly Creamer grew up in Mendon, NJ and was a two-time state champion in high school.   Molly received a full scholarship to Bucknell University where she was the three-time Patriot League Player of the Year and was 2nd in the nation in scoring averaging 27.1 ppg her senior year.  After college Molly played professional basketball in the 1st Divisions of Israel, France, Hungary and Italy.  Molly and her family recently moved back to Massachusetts and she helps lead our girls program.

COACH MATT MEDEIROS

Coach Matt Medeiros is a former high school all scholastic, 1,400 point scorer at St Joseph's College, and current AD and basketball coach at The Pike School.

COACH KRISTEN MACDOUGALL

Coach Kristen MacDougall played basketball for Andover High School (All-Star) and for Assumption University, as a full scholarship player, and helped the team reach the NCAA-Division II tournament twice (2000, 2002). In addition to being a middle school educator, Coach MacDougall has taught and coached youth and sports at the elementary through high school varsity levels for over 20 years. Her ‘work hard, work together, have fun’ mentality creates a positive and energetic environment that fosters confidence through age-appropriate skill development.

COACH MASON FULLER

Coach Mason Fuller graduated from Plymouth South High School as a Varsity Basketball Captain.  He is currently a Junior at Merrimack College and is going into his third year as a sport specific skills trainer for youth athletes.  Mason has been coaching youth basketball for more than five years and has managed the Merrimack Men’s Basketball team for the last two seasons.  He is currently pursuing playing collegiate basketball.

COACH AJ MANSOR

Coach AJ Mansor graduated from Central Catholic High School in 2002 and St. Anselm College in 2006 where he was captain of the golf team.  He has played basketball recreationally all his life and loves being around the game.  AJ most especially enjoys coaching and developing young players.  He has coached youth sports in North Andover the past four years and joined the Pure Hart family in 2022.  He is extremely passionate about the program and has truly enjoyed instilling the values of teamwork, respect, and resilience in each and every player.

COACH SCOTT WILSON

Coach Scott Wilson began his basketball coaching career 17 years ago as part of Tewksbury Travel Basketball.    He coached 4th grade through 8th grade travel teams and loved taking time to develop their skills.   After coaching 8th grade travel teams (2012-2017) and the Tewksbury High School Fall Ball team (2015-2017), Scott was ready to learn more and was lucky enough to grab a spot with Coach Tanglis in North Andover.    The first two years as the Freshman coach and the last three coaching the Junior Varsity squad.   Scott also helps out with the Varsity team in North Andover and has a real passion for coaching hoops.   He is excited to get started with Pure Hart Basketball.
